Folegandros, Greece

The first leg of our trip was to the island of Folegandros.  It is one of the smaller and less touristy islands, but it is gorgeous and was the perfect place for us to unwind from the chaos of Vegas and our wedding.  Folegandros had incredible food, scenery and our little white-washed villa was amazing.  We stayed at Anemomilos Apartments and loved everything about the hotel.  Our host Cornelia was so helpful in making sure we took the right ferries (some had been cancelled at the last minute), the view was incredible and the pool was gorgeous too (wish we had used it).  We explored the islands beaches and towns and ate a lot of great food!

Milos, Greece

Milos was a much more lively island and Brandon and I had a great time exploring the island in our rented buggy and going sea-kayaking.  We forgot our Dive Cards so we didn't get to dive, but had a lot of fun snorkeling and exploring the beaches and towns.  We really loved Milos and had such a great time.  After a good rest on Folegandros, Milos was exactly what we needed to keep us active and entertained.

Athens, Greece

We spent the last night of our honeymoon in Athens, before flying back to Germany.  Seeing the Acropolis was really the only thing that we wanted to do while we were there, and we weren't disappointed.  The Acropolis was really nice and it was such a beautiful day that it made it a really great visit.  We went up to the Acropolis for a few hours, then over to the Gates of Zeus before heading out to dinner at a nice little restaurant along the streets.  We stayed at the Athens Gate Hotel which is directly across the street from the Gates of Zeus and just blocks from the Acropolis and a Metro Station.  It was the perfect location and very clean and modern too.  This was a nice end to our amazing honeymoon.
